Our routeOn this safari we often go off the beaten track. Many of the areas visited do not have the infrastructure that you are accustomed to in Europe. Please take the itinerary from the map below.

Cape Town to Vicfalls in 21 daysFrom Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, to the ever changing, arid landscapes of Namibia and the pristine wildlife sanctuaries of Botswana, this tour endeavours to show most of the highlights of Southern Africa.
On this 21-day journey of contrasts, we will climb some of the highest sand dunes in the world, visit some of the best game reserves in Africa, including Etosha Pan and the flood plains of the Okavango Delta, and experience the mighty Zambezi River at the famous Victoria Falls.

Day 1: Cape TownAfter the pick up from the airport we will show you Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, on a short city tour. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. You can visit Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the Waterfront or relax on one of the beautiful beaches (entries at own expense).
Day 2: Visit Cape Point Nature Reserve Today we take a leisurely drive to the Cape of Good Hope, the southwestern most point of Africa, where we go for an interesting hike. In the afternoon we show you some of the endangered African Penguins at Boulders Beach. We take a scenic drive along False Bay and Chapman’s Peak, where we have a good chance to see some Southern Right Whales (during spring time). B
Day 3: CederbergAn early departure brings us to the Cederberg, a beautiful mountain wilderness area 3 hours north of Cape Town. We spend the afternoon on a hike to some bushman paintings. We will spend the night in simple cottages or Safari tents. BLD
Day 4: Oranje RiverAn early start takes us to the Orange River, which is the border river to Namibia. Here we spend one night on the banks of the river at a beautiful campsite. BL(D)

Day 5: Canoeing Trip through the Richtersveld, Fish River CanyonHalf a day can be spent river rafting (optional: 30 Euro, from 30.6.2010
40 Euro, approx. 3 hours) in the lunar landscape of the area along the Orange River. Experience the Richtersveld, a mountain desert with its unique landscape, fauna and flora. In the afternoon we visit the Fish River Canyon, which is the second largest of its kind in the world. Watching the sunset at the edge of the canyon is an unforgettable experience. Our accommodation is situated close to the canyon amongst beautiful dolorite hills and quiver trees . BL(D)

Namib Desert
Day 6: Namib DesertLong drive through one of the oldest and most spectacular deserts in the world - the Namib. We enjoy a picnic lunch en route under a camel thorn tree. The following 2 nights are spent at a beautiful lodge. BL(D)
Day 7: Sesriem and SossusvleiWe spend the day exploring the Namib Desert, which boasts some of the largest sand dunes in the world (up to 300m). For the sunrise we make our way towards Sossusvlei, a dried out lake in the middle of the desert. The 3 hour hike is one of the highlights for keen photographers. We also visit Dead Vlei and the Sesriem Canyon. BL(D)
Day 8: Namib - Naukluft Park We explore one of the biggest Nature Reserves in the world, the Namib - Naukluft Park Afterwards we make our way to Swakopmund where we spend the next 2 nights. BL
Day 9: SwakopmundWe have a full day in the holiday seaside resort of Namibia – Swakopmund. We have time to explore this idyllic “German” town by day and night. You can go shopping, relax on the beach or join some exciting activities like a boat trip to see dolphins and whales (dinner at a local restaurant at own expense). B
Bushmen Etchings
Day 10: Cape Cross and the White Lady at BrandbergAfter breakfast we depart for Damaraland. This is one of the last areas of Africa where you can see elephants, black rhinoceros and giraffes outside of a national park. In the morning we visit one of the biggest cape fur seal colonies in the world at Cape Cross. 80 – 100,000 cape fur seals live in this little reserve. In the afternoon we hike to the White Lady, one of the most well known bushman paintings in Southern Africa. BLD
Day 11: Damaraland and TwyfelfonteinIn the morning we will have the opportunity to view some of the most unique bushman etchings at Twyfelfontein. In the afternoon we visit the Burnt Mountain and the Petrified Forest. In this area we also often meet the interesting Herero and Ovahimba people. Elephants at Etosha
Day 12 & 13: Etosha Pan National ParkA highlight of the tour! At over 22.000 km², Etosha Pan is one of the most important game reserves in the world. Here game drives and overnight stops are dictated by the movement of the many different animals like lions, leopards, cheetahs, black rhinos, elephants and big herds of antelopes. We spend the mornings and afternoons game viewing and bird watching. On day 13, after another game drive in Etosha Pan NP, we leave the park in the late afternoon and drive towards our next lodge. Day 14: RunduWe make our way to Rundu.Here we have the opportunity to go for a sundowner cruise to Angola (10 Euro). Then the locals will demonstrate some tribal dancing and a scrumptious buffet meal will be prepared for us. BL(D)
Mokorotrip 
Day 15 & 16: The Okavango RiverTwo nights are spent at the Okavango River area, which is one of the world's last natural wonders. We explore this waterway paradise with its unparalleled wildlife. A highlight is a full day excursion, starting at Popa Falls. We use mokoros (local canoes) to get into the pan handle swamps where we visit a local village. In the afternoon we visit Mahango Game reserve with its lush vegetation, a rich bird life and a variety of interesting game, including Sable and Roan antelope, elephant, hippo and crocodile. On one of the days we will also do a bird walk to explore the incredible bird life. (This excursion is at own expense, 80 Euro pp). BLD
Day 17: Caprivi StripWe drive through the Caprivi Strip, a unique area with large herds of elephants. In the evening we reach Kasane in Botswana after an interesting drive through Chobe National Park. BL
Day 18: Chobe National ParkToday we have the option to go on a sundowner game-viewing cruise on the Chobe River and/or undertake a game drive in an open 4 x 4 vehicle through Chobe National Park. (35 Euro each or 50 Euro for both). BL
Victoria Falls
Day 19 & 20: Victoria Falls, LivingstoneAn early departure takes us to the famous Victoria Falls, the adventure capital of Africa. Here you can take a walk in the nature reserve along the falls, try some optional White Water Rafting, Bungee Jumping or take in the spectacular scenery on a helicopter flight (all optional). BL; B
Day 21: Tour ends after breakfastA Transfer to Johannesburg or Cape Town can be booked with us.
