Tour PriceThe tour price is indicated in the itinerary.
Money on tourGenerally it is a good idea to take along plenty of the smaller denomination bills (either travelers cheques or cash) as banks generally do not give change in forex. The Euro is widely accepted at bureaux de change and banks throughout Africa. Restaurant meals, alcohol and cool drinks are not included in our tour price. There will however be opportunities en route where the group eats out and although this is not compulsory, you should keep this in mind when budgeting. Alcohol prices vary considerably and can be fairly expensive.
No gratuities are included and should be budgeted for. The tipping of the local guides in the Okavango Delta and our guide is expected from the group.

Optional ExcursionsWith your booking confirmation we will give you a list of the possible optional excursions that you can do en route on your safari. Please note that the prices quoted are a guideline and subject to change. It is not necessary to pre-book any of these excursions as they can be arranged en route.
Below we have given you a guideline to the currencies used in each of the countries we travel to:
- South Africa: The South African Rand (SAR) is currently trading at 10:1 to the EURO (February 2010).
- Namibia: The Namibian Dollar is on a 1:1 ratio to the South African Rand and both currencies can be used throughout Namibia, although you will get your change in Namibian Dollars.
- Swaziland/Lesotho: The currency in Swaziland and Lesotho is on a 1:1 ratio to the SAR and the SAR can be used there.
- Botswana: The currency here is the Botswana Pula and it is recommended to purchase some in cash before entering Botswana.
- Zambia: The currency here is the Zambian Kwacha. It is recommended to purchase some in cash before entering.
- Mozambique/Malawi: It is recommended to change some money in the country itself. The Euro is mostly accepted at banks.
